As title a brick wall comes to mind so any assistance welcome.

Searched all over in an attempt to find some info on this piece and no luck, contacted "Auricoste" and they just may come back with something but in the meantime if any of you learned guys have any info it would be greatly appreciated. Count down scale ?

That's a tachy scale on the outside with a decimal scale in red.

"Description: For industrial timing, statistical analysis, calculation of averages and cost prices the use of decimal division of time is common" -CMaddox

My guess was it was marketed to factory managers to time production rates.

There are plenty of examples of decimal scale stop watches out there. A Tachy scale makes a lot of sense to include as they both allow for similar calculations. I was not able to find one with both though.
