Hi everyone. Irregular poster and somewhat newbie here, but would appreciate some advice. I have the 8900 AT in blue on steel strap and want to switch it up. I like the idea of the rubber and - to a lesser extent a leather Omega option. But i don’t want a blue strap - too much blue for me, especially in an office context. (Blue shirt, blue watch, blue strap, aargh!!) What are my options? Has anyone got or seen the blue AT 8900 on the black rubber strap?? In my mind, that would look very cool. Any opinions? Any good experiences with new ATs on Omega or other rubber strap vendors? Thanks for the advice! (Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere)
I like that. Nice idea on NATOs. Has anyone got a photo of how the Omega rubber straps look like in different combos to the “official” Omega pics? especially with the AT? I’d be really interested in whether people think you can mix-n-match it? Or if it doesn’t work and you have to stick to the Omega colour schemes for the rubber straps? Thanks!
I have the Black version of this watch on the black rubber strap and I love it. I think you could probably go with any of their rubber bands with this one.
I know leather is not what you asked for... but IMO a tan strap goes nicely with a blue or white shirt and a blue dial. A Globemaster for comparison:
Love this. Been looking for a strap that’s got some thickness to it to balance out the heft of the Globemaster case. Curious, where’s that strap from and what’s the thickness? Looks really well balanced.
thehouseofstraps.com has a ton of color options for leather straps at a reasonable cost. I don't have direct experience but they look great.
I really like that blue on blue, especially that royal color. Feels sporty but dressed up at the same time.
What a great look. I'm wasn't sure about breaking away from the blue/stainless combo, but consider me convinced.
Can't go wrong with brown leather or gator. Loads of 20mm (I assume 20mm on that one yes?) Speedy options out there. A "Speedy Tuesday" strap would look awesome on that watch (you would need a tang buckle however).
Here are some quick photoshops I just did. First one is on the gray OEM rubber, second is black OEM rubber:
Wow. Thanks for doing that. It’s really interesting, and it makes a big difference seeing it like that. I like the black, I think that one works really well.
love it. That brown looks very good. Thanks for the idea. Have a slight worry that the brown is not that versatile. But really like it!!
