    What do you think?

How many Omegas have you looked at this far?

Welcome to the forum, and take your time buying your first vintage Omega. ebay is great for seasoned collectors, but can be a minefield for newbies. The FS Forum on here is a great place to nice and correct example from a trusted collector.

Best of luck with the search. I think that is a decent example if you want a linen dial with a gold capped case and plated BOR bracelet.
Personally, I would want all stainless steel.

I really like it, would look at replacing the strap with leather though.
I've been offered it at 400 still through eBay which I think is a bargain?
I do really like the grey dial seamaster in stainless too but it's more expensive and less original.
    Thanks
    Dan

Looks good to me also. Maybe a bit pricey, but it does have a BOR.

Sorry I missed your first question. I've been trawling through eBay the past few weeks.

400 is an okay price, but I think that you can find a nice stainless model for that model.

Take you time, learn from fellow forum members, and do not rush a purchase. The thrill is in the hunt!

    That's a redial for sure.

I think the dial on first one is OK. Its very difficult to reproduce the linen finish. The BOR bracelet usually brings about $100 to $150 on its own. So $250 to $300 for the watch by itself is a pretty good price, IMO.

Just make sure you understand that you are likely looking at another $200 or so for service.

FYI bor means beads of rice.

Again thank you all for your input.
I had read that the bracelet was called BOR. I wonder where that comes from?
I think I'm going to try and get a deal on the first one and fit a nice brown strap to it.
    Will keep you all updated!
If anyone sees anything nice feel free to add it to this thread.
    Thank you!

See above. This refers to the fact that the links of the bracelet look like grains of rice.

I would wear it as is. That is likely the bracelet that came with the watch when new.

I would be all over the first one at $400. 400 pounds and needing a service? Not so much. If you can get the seller down to 300, take it.
