Burgeoning interest in watches which I hopefully won't regret...

Made a possible rash purchase on the below, any authenticity feedback would be appreciated.
Listing info: Movement No - 38590812, Calibre No - 1012
(haven't the tools to open the case)

Very nice example, looks to be super clean unmolested dial, case looks nice as well. Do you mind letting us know what you paid?

Geneve Dynamic dial with Deville Dynamic case? Is that original? The case looks untouched but did it come with that dial?

After some research I'm starting to believe I've overpaid... £985

Pictures are as bought! That's the question I keep asking myself!

Is the Deville case authentic? I think you're right and the dynamic dial was rehoused.

That may be true, but it's a very nice looking dial and case. If you have the option to return it, you may wish to consider doing so if you think that the watch is not correct for the reference and/or you overpaid. As an aside, it's always best to inquire here BEFORE you make your purchase. Most OF members are happy to provide good advice, but there's not much that we can do after you've pulled the trigger.

FYI, one way to ascertain whether the price is reasonable is to check eBay for sold listings of the same or similar model. That will usually give you a good idea of the sold price range for the same or similar model in various degrees of condition.

Just so it's said there have been new-production aftermarket dials popping up for these older Dynamic models in the last year or so. They look really good and I think might even be part of a production for entire fake Dynamics, but not entirely confirmed that yet. You will see lots of worn cases with pristine dials and those are the ones I would avoid.

No Swiss made on the dial?
Sometimes the swiss made on these is really hard to see - as its black on blue

here is a really bad photo of mine - you can just pick out the swiss made

The OP pic does have the lettering too, very difficult to see but it's there once you use view the zoomed pic. 👍
