Genuine dial or not?

Evening every one. I am relatively new to your forum (recommended by a friend) and new to trying to collect vintage Omegas, so have found this thread.fantastic. I was wondering if I could seek a few opinions on the dial of this 1956 Omega Seamaster Automatic Cal.501 Pie Pan. I am torn on constellation pie pans or seamasters. Love the simple classic look, but wondered if anyone thought this dial may not be genuine and if so how or why? The serial numbers and cal seem to add up ok. But the S and R seem different to others I have seen. Thanks in advance

Definitely not an original dial. Since you're just getting into vintage watches, maybe spend some time browsing the "show your ..." threads here. They exist for both Constellations and Seamasters. Also be sure to check out

Once you get a sense of what genuine Omega looks like, you'll spot the differences easily. This one's not hard.
