..... arrival day - one very cool vintage Omega Seamaster and a case and a half of wine:

Hey, where's the smiley for inebriated? ::psy::

Some Bordeaux (white and red), some Cab, and a couple different Zinfandels plus a très chic late 50's Seamaster - better pics to come with better light and a lower blood / alcohol level. :p

If you're an Eagles fan, You have enough wine to deaden your pain for maybe 6 games.

Hahaha! Not really into football, especially after attending some Eagles games. They give Philadelphia sports fans a bad name.
The Flyers are stinking on ice lately so this shipment will get me through a week or two of suffering.

Lol is not putting the watch front and center a subconscious way of demonstrating that wine has surpassed watches for your personal hierarchy of needs?

Any psychology professionals want to chime in (un or non professionally, of course)?

Nah, just didn't want a bottle to fall over and damage the watch!

Nothing beats a great pair of lugs!

..... wait, that was Leggs, wasn't it?

Oooooo, 2005..... I bet that's just now hitting it's stride. The 4 I just received are 2013, and they're going next to the 3 bottles of 2012 Estate Cab to lay down for at least 7 to 10 years. Was just recently introduced to Ridge and found they don't show well young but reward patience.

Luckily, the Bedrock Old Vine Zin comes around quicker. Got 3 bottles of the 2010 that's drinking excellently now, and have a 2013 in the fridge that's been open 2 weeks to see how it changes with air. Not bad, but the 2014 is a better vintage and will probably age more to my liking.

Tonight's fare was the last of an Arrowood Monte Rosso Cab. If you're ever in this neck of the woods, that's a MUST try bottle. The '01 and '03 are in their window right now.

    So whatcha got there - a 168.005 with a caliber 551?

    Close. 167.005
I'll try the Arrowood next I'm in town, ate at the Star with my wife two weeks back and had a great time. Watches and wine, and my woman. Good enough for me.
And yes, the 05 is drinking beautifully right now

Doh! I should have gotten that - the 168 version means date, the 167 is no-date. That's what happens when you have a few.

there are so many excellent deals out there on home-delivered wine offers, but only a very small fraction of retailers will ship to my state of residence... ::rant:

...but we have no restrictions on watches! ;)
