    Hi folks,

I would like to expand my collection with a geneve. I'm especially focused on these three models and I wanted to hear some comments from you guys (meaning, what you think about value, personal opinion and/or experience).

    1) manual wind with blue dial and cal. 601

Watches seems original and they all have original dial and crown. They are on an auction website (which is on going), so would even be interesting to hear your opinion on a possible price.
The first two were recently serviced, the third no.
    Thanks ! :)

1st watch is a redial. Movement may be missing parts. Looks like a Mumbai Special. Stay away.

2nd watch has replacement crown. Gold plating on these are notorious for wear-through. Movement looks OK.

3rd one is clearly the best of the bunch. Looks original, but has a later movement. Not as collectible.

Price needs to be under $300 to have any hope of recouping your investment someday. Don't forget that a service is going to run you at least $100 in additional cost.

    @gatorcpa and @albertod

    Great thread for us noobies.
How to tell on #3 is a swapped movement? Is it later though correct service replacement?

    Cheers

I believe he meant that as the 1012 movement was developed late in the Omega in-house production. Many find the straight forward utilitarian finish to be unaesthetic and believe them to be of lower quality. I have a Constellation with a cal1024 that is an AWESOME timekeeper after a service.

    So:

1st model went away for 160 usd
2nd model went away for 230 usd

I got the 3rd model for circa 260 usd, so in line with what @gatorcpa wrote!

I will post pics once I will have it :)

    Here we go!

    The conditions are really good.

This is a 136.041 so it should mount the 613 caliber, as gatorcpa anticipated the movement was replaced with a 1012.
For me is fine as I'm a newbie and this is my first omega :) in the future I'll become more picky.

Service history is uknown, does anybody knows a good watch servicer in Stockholm?
