Hello all, what a site and resource this is!

Hoping for some friendly advice if I may.

I have made an offer to buy this watch via Chrono 24 http://www.joaillerie-royale.com/montre-occasion-omega/4838-omega.html

I have been advised at the last minute that the watch is not an automatic but rather, a manual.

I am sorry if this is an obvious question but other than the need not to wind the watch, are there any obvious benefits to having the automatic movement over the manual and should there be a price difference between the two?

I am concerned that this is a strong price for the watch anyway.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Jonathan

The watch is seriously overpriced for what it is.
The condition is average (some serious "restoration" has been done on the case and bracelet).
The crown is shagged and is needing replacement.

Prices vary between 5 and 7 hundred for nice examples. A bit more for really good ones. There is one on the for sale forum, Here, much nicer dial and less common. If I didn't already have be I would have been all over it. Don t hesitate it won't be there long.
