Hello everyone, maybe lucky for me but not for my wallet. I have found another vintage Omega, a Geneve Dynamic Cal.752.

I have just taken a Constellation Cal. 564 yesterday, and here is the link: https://omegaforums.net/threads/anything-suspicious-on-this-constellation-s-f-168017-cal-564.106457/

I was trying to stay put for a few days but this Dynamic seems too good to pass.

Please let me know if this is a good deal. The dealer promises the main body is original and asks for 570 USD.

nice dial and case but it looks like someone hand painted the orange second hand?

Can you explain what makes you think that? It looks pretty nice to my eye. A good deal for the price offered, IMO

Any further clues?

everything else looks Kosher to me. we have a few similar dynamics but our second hands are blue. orange is also fine but from your pics it appears the center hole is filled with paint?

Do they make that dynamic with anything other than a blue second hand? I have one that’s blue and have been looking at others I’ve only seen blue

I’m just glad that Boris Yeltsin isn’t on the dial

Hello !
Apart from the fact that it is orange, it seems to me the second hand is painted correctly, same as other such dials ..
here is mine

What’s all the fuss with the orange seconds hand. Lots of Dynamics came like this.

To quote Desmond:

I’m in the opposite situation to the OP - already own a Dynamic, now just waiting for an incoming cal 564 C case Connie in the New Year. I approve having both in the stable, @Phil F! Dynamics are very comfortable on the wrist and fun to wear.

2 of my Dynamics have an orange second hand and this one looks correct to me. Here's a closeup of one. Your watch is in nice condition for the price in my opinion. I haven't seen a non-perforated Omega strap like that though. Is that one of the original Corfam ones?

No, that one is not original.

Yes, I’m pretty sure the dial of the OP's watch is very similar to the top left example in the extract from Desmond's article above. I think the strap makes a good contrast and I believe original corfam ones are hard to come by these days. They were certainly made in some bold and funky colours!

In my head canon, Dynamics are the ancestors of Swatch watches. No idea whether that's where the idea for Swatch watches came from though.

Cosmetically, a good watch. Mechanically - up to you to check it out ...

Seriously though: the case is thick and appears not to have been refinished, the sunburst is hard to refinish correctly & this looks to have age appropriate light wear; the dial is good and doesn't have signs of refinishing (check the serifs on the font); the second hand is completely correct for the hand/dial combination; there is an embossed Omega symbol visible on the glass just over the pinion (always a reassuring sign on one of these).

The only thing out of sync is the strap, which is a legit mid-70's Omega design but dates from 6 or so years after the watch was made. The serial no. dates the movement to 1969, which is correct for the model ref.

Looks like a fair price too - so I guess either the dealer likes you or you need to be sure to check it runs properly & get it serviced.

Good hunting !
