·This is a normal sign of wear and is unfortunately not easy to fix. I believe there have been several threads about this, but I don't recall any sort of silver bullet.

Actually there is but I wasn’t sure about pinching the links any closer to the existing spring bars.
Will try and reduce the gap to see if it helps
