Genève id and nickel

Hi Omega Experts,

I have inherited this Omega from my uncle, supposedly bought in the mid 1990-s in Austria. It has been lying in a box for the last 25 years.

I have some questions, I hope you can help me with.

1. Do you know how old it might be and what the series could be?

2. I can get an allergic itchy reaction from nickel - do you know if much nickel was used in the watch?

3. It seems somewhat slow. Is it difficult to adjust it for a professional?

Looking forwards to hearing from you.

Best regards,
Andreas

Not sure about the nickel content but as for age and all other information about this watch you need to have it opened. All the information is then on the inside of the case back and on the movement itself. Calibre of the watch, Omega watch reference, watch number on movement for approx year etc. Good luck.

Hi Peter,

Thank you for the response. I appreciate that and will find a professional to open it up.

It seems like en expensive affair though - do you have any idea of model, so I can estimate what value it might have?

And is adjusting inaccuracy difficult for a 1990 Genève?

Best regards,
Andreas

All that information is inside. A watch guy will probably be able to give you an estimate when he opens up the watch back. You can then assess value and decide. Good luck.
