Talk about putting the cart before the horse.

I'm currently in the market for a few vintage Zeniths A386, A3736, A384 to list a few. I may have done something a little reckless. I have the sense that good condition Gay Freres ladder bracelets are hard to come by. So when one came up this morning on eBay I snapped it up. Crazy thing is I don't have a Zenith watch yet, and I don't even know what model the end links are for (hoping they are ZJ). Call me crazy, but I figured for $350 worst case scenario I can always re-sell it.

Not a bad price. Looks like the right curvature for a ZJ which would be an even bigger score. They only fit on the A386 though.

I'm looking for the correct bracelets as well, but to be honest, I find them fairly unattractive. Unique, but not to my taste.

Fingers crossed that it's a ZJ. Now I just need to find someone to sell me the watch to go with the bracelet.

So that's what Squirreling is... I've seen the term used here a few times, now it makes perfect sense duh!

No, that's the conventional meaning of storing something away for later. Here it's the Golden Squirrel of Distraction that points you toward something shiny and brings out the magpie in you, robbing your watch fund of the money you'd planned to spend on something else.

Nice bracelet. I made the mistake of messaging the seller to ask what was stamped on the end pieces... and it was gone! I suppose you'll be able to tell me soon.

MMMD - I thought about messaging the seller first as well. But once I realized there were already 6 people watching the post I decided to pull the trigger.

I felt bad when I read your post, but then I remembered you have all the watches that I want, I only have this trivial bracelet.

I got to it 10 minutes after you. Well done, it is well worth having they fit a number of Zeniths.
