    Mahatma Gandhi’s iconic glasses have turned up for auction with a reserve around $19,500.

    How much would his watch go for? .... there really is something special about watch prices! (No, he didn’t really have a Speedy, he was assassinated in 1948 but how much would collectors pay for his watch?).

    I read that article and there wasn't the best support for provenance other than "the dates all seem to fit." It sounded strange that Gandhi would give his glasses away as a gift on a trip, who would do that?

    Around half a million, but I could see it going for a lot more in the right auction.

    What did it go for in that auction? And what year was that? The estimates there are so ludicrously small that I'm guessing a while ago, but man...
