I found this G6518 with a Wadsworth case, on eBay. I think it looks okay (please feel free to tear it to shreds) but I have a question about the movement. OVD shows that reference as having a 351 bumper but the watch has a 354. I know the OVD isn't always correct but a 354 in the watch wouldn't be unusual, would it?

I knew that. That's why I responded that way, once I saw that my duplicate had been deleted.

I hope for you too. Just saying "Swiss" at the bottom is new to me. I've always seen "Swiss Made". The 3 S's don't seem to be the exact same font either. Probably a redial. Unless you have the money to buy exactly correct pieces, just wear what you want and like and what you find nice. Please note, I could be entirely wrong in my assessment of its originality.

After reviewing the dial, there are quite a few blemishes that I would attribute to age, but I have been wrong with my redial determinations before. Does anyone have any thoughts on the dial: Original or redial?

I like this watch. Not a drawer queen. This watch was worn and loved by prior owner(s).

Looks all original to me, right down to the bowler crown. "Swiss" on the dial is a marker for US market watches, which is exactly what this is.

Price is reasonable for a 14K gold bumper watch. Band is original Omega, even if not original to the watch. They do not show the underside of the buckle, but if it is engraved "Omega 14K", it too is original.

If you want it, grab it before someone else does.;)

Thanks. Good to know I'm starting to recognize the good from the bad. I think I will heed your advice.

Congratulations. Once a BIN auction is outed on this forum, anything is possible. There are generally 200+ people on the forum at any point. Not all of them are members or respect the "dibs" rules.

Invest $150 or so in a good cleaning and you should be good to go for a number of years.

It arrived today. The buckle is indeed engraved Omega, but not 14k. Beautiful watch, though. I'll post some wrist shots this weekend, for you watch pervs.
