I see the hang tag says $12,000 on it. Is that the MSRP on these or is that what I should offer him?

Love the Snoopy. Asking price seems a little high though, I doubt it will go for that much. One sold here a while ago for about $2k less than that. https://omegaforums.net/threads/ome...snoopy-edition-new-unworn-complete-kit.52654/

Ha! I wonder if that's what he paid at a dealer. MSRP on these was right around $7,500 IIRC...

Did you have to get on a waiting list to get these?

Based on what I've heard (wasn't quite into Omega yet at that time), only 1970 pieces were produced but the demand was quite high and ADs allocated more than they actually ended up getting. Not sure if there was an "official" waiting list a la Speedy Tuesday. Though I'm not convinced that that the ST wait list is very fair/organized either.

The Snoopy presold after the Basel 2015 announcement; it was completely sold out 6+ months before the first one was delivered. Original MSRP was $7350 USD. A small number of unsold pieces were made available in late 2016 and were offered at the same $7350 MSRP. There was a wait list setup for the Snoopy, that was done at the retail level (per AD or Boutique) that did not work very well - several people were able to get a Snoopy by simply being in the right place at the right time, and VIP clients always get preference over wait lists, from what I understand.

I wonder if he bought it afterwards @ a Boutique recently since I heard they were offering some spares to some VIPs that didn't have one.....they constantly "adjust" the pricing on older pieces like this when approaching 'VIPs"........I'm sure repoman knows this as well heh.

I see enablers. Walking around like regular people. They only see what they want to see. They don't know they're enablers.

Another one was for sale several months ago. It sold VERY quickly. Perhaps this is the buyer of that one and is now flipping it for a small profit. IIRC, the previous price was $12,950.

edit: Found the last F/S ad: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=533894
If this current seller is willing to take $13K he's looking at a very small profit. He probably bought it for between $12K and $12.5K.

Both sellers are high volume dealers and likely still are making a decent margin. If I had to wager they paid closer to MSRP than $12k.

Like many I do like the Snoopy, wonder what time will tell Haroun the long term value. 2 years is not much of a time frame for collectable valuation.

I'd think collector value for the Snoopy won't be known for maybe 10 years. And a lot can happen in 10 years.
