Good afternoon, everyone. Taking a study break and decided to post a thread. What watches are on your future (short- or long-term ) purchase list?

Short term: Hopefully this week I'll be purchasing a new Speedmaster from Mr. Kringkily.
Long-term: 116610 Submariner, Seamaster Planet Ocean, Polar Explorer II, Patek Calatrava 5227

Just posted something about this here:

    https://omegaforums.net/threads/par...tourism-on-5th-and-madison.38009/#post-439053

My current shortlist 2016 - 2017, will probably change post Basel 2017:)

    1. 2016 Tie = Rolex Explorer 1 Basel 2016 version & White dial IWC 3239 Ingenieur (intend to purchase both watches in 2016).

    2. 2017 Tie = Breitling Navitimer 01 43mm & Rolex 16710 GMT 2 Master Coke Bezel

An unlikely Basel 2017 reissue Railmaster done right could jump to no. 2 ahead of the Navitimer and 16710 GMT Master 2 for 2017.

    Cheers

Short: none as of now. I have bougt two watches so far in 2016, so I'm good for a while (I think...). If anything perhaps a Sinn 556 or Stowa Flieger.

Long: I would like to get a Rolex GMT 167XX at some point to keep my Sub company and a Rolex datejust ss or two tone (two tone perhaps when I get a little older). And then I sort of regret Selling my 18k Connie Deluxe two years ago. Would like to have one again. The datejust will probably come first though.

Short term (in time for summer): Seiko SKX009J and blue Isofrane - hoping for some sunshine & beach time!

Medium term (this year if funds allow): I've found I really like 60s / 70s Rolex... don't hate me. Possibly a 5512 Sub, 1675(0) GMT or 1016 Explorer. So conventional.

Long term (next 3 years, say): Ummm... no idea really! I like the erratic direction of this hobby / obsession. Aside from filling in the gaps in the medium term plan, possibly a Mark II Speedy, Flightmaster 910, some kind of Reverso.

EDIT: Damn, found a new grail: 2852 rose gold de Luxe as posted by @hoipolloi a while ago https://omegaforums.net/threads/pie-pan-as-code-for-more-expensive.730/ ... I don't suppose it would ever be up for sale? ;)

The short list only has the classic Omega Speedmaster at the moment. I've considered a number of the LE models, but I'd rather get a new one. You never know, it's a work in progress now.
Long term, who knows. Too many to list. Maybe even the Apollo XI 40th. Stealth luxury is the best. :)

I love it, an "Office Space" reference. For no good reason other than it's awesome, here's one of the iconic scenes from the movie:

We will now return to our scheduled thread....

Thought I was going to like the rose gold indices on the IWC 3239 but the steel on silver is cleaner and classier for me...more "engineer"..should make a nice white-black pairing with the new black dial Explorer 1.
