Hello I'm continuing to refocus my collection and this is the second watch that is being put on the selling block - a Breitling Cadette chronograph ref 1191 from 1950 with a stunning tropical dial. From what I've seen, these watches are notorious for having redials and when added to the fact that black dial Cadette's are actually quite rare to begin with means that tropical dial Cadette's don't come around too often. As far as watch sales go, this one hurts - I really do love this watch. And from personal experience of hunting for one for many months, I can honestly say that finding a vintage, all original, perfectly brown tropical dial chronograph from a well known Swiss manufacturer at this price point will be difficult! Movement: Original, Venus 188 Case: Chrome plated with stainless steel case back, 36mm without crown, weathered in some spots Crown: Original, unsigned Dial: Original, tropical brown Hands: Original, relumed Strap: Black leather Service history: Unknown, keeps time well, chronograph functions as expected and resets to 12 Please use the following pictures as part of the description (borrowing a couple pics from the previous owner): Watch and I are in the US and I can ship worldwide (with some exceptions). No returns please. I'm asking $1399USD (now $1249) for the watch head and black strap, insured and shipped to CONUS. Other countries add shipping cost. Payment by bank transfer or PayPal. Do note that the brown strap in the pictures is not included in this price. Plenty of references on here and available upon request. Thanks!
Looks like I added (or noticed) a scratch on the crystal - you can see it create a shadow on the dial. It isn't deep which means it can be easily buffed out. Regardless, reducing the price to reflect this - $1349 OBRO.
