For sale is a black gilt dial gold capped 9002 ref Longines Conquest dating to 1957. Please see below for details, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions.

Dial: Original, non-refinished and uncommon black gilt dial has developed a subtle patina - particularly around the center of the dial and has a few marks. Dial features uncommon non-luminous yellow gold markers and hands and unique gold arrow markers at the 5-minute intervals and gold dot markers at the other minute marks.

Case: Original gold capped beefy 35mm 9002 reference case is in fairly nice condition - bevels on the lugs are still visible but it does appear to have been polished. “Fish in kelp” medallion on the caseback is in very (uncommonly) nice condition. Unfortunately someone had their name etched into the caseback.

Crown: Correct vintage domed crown I had installed recently.

Crystal: Generic crystal (I assume).

Movement: Original 19AS movement runs, winds, and sets well. Prior owner had the movement serviced in August 2020 and it came with a 12mo warranty. Movement photos were taken prior to the recent crown swap.

Strap/buckle: Comes on the black leather strap and gold plated buckle pictured.

Info from the Longines Archives: Longines archive states the watch was delivered to Singapore in August 1957 (see photo for more info). I believe this dial variant was only sold to this area of the world as all of them I’ve come across were sent to Asia.

Price is $999 (reduced from $1250). I'll cover insured US shipping, and international shipping is available but options are to be discussed with the buyer. Bank transfer/Transferwise is preferred for payment. OF seller reviews are here. Returns are accepted if the watch is grossly misrepresented. Watch is located in the USA.
