    Hi all,

I am going to play with a few vintage pieces again and just got an integrated bracelet, late 60's Connie today.

I won it in an auction on eBay last week, for a very low price (a couple hundred bucks) . The cal 751 looked very clean, so I figured it was worth the chance. I received it today, and am very pleased.

The bracelet has almost no stretch, the dial is immaculate, the hands are beautiful and the case has very few scratches and appears to be in original condition.

It needs a new crystal and undoubtedly needs a service.

I've been away from vintage for a while, but my watch compass is pointing that way again. I'm beyond stoked with this piece!

    Here are a few pictures!

I recently picked up one of these also. Price was ridiculously cheap, as there was a problem with the stem.

Technically, the correct reference is 368.0845, due to the bracelet. The quality of the bracelet is far superior to a Rolex of the same era. Here is a 1972 Japanese ad for the watch:

Mine is out at the watchmakers getting fixed up. While the 1970's was mostly a dark period for Omega, this is one of the brightest spots.

I've heard that the bezel is solid white gold, but I'm not sure about that. The current replacement part is listed as being steel.

    Very nice pick up!

Thank you for correcting the reference number!

Was this designed by Gentra? It looks like his influence. That being said, any integrated bracelet looks like his work, which can't be the correct "tell" of his design.

I held a two-tone one about 2 years ago for a week or so, but never wore it. I found it at a garage sale, purchased it, fixed it and flipped it.

I'm planning on trying to work this one into the rotation once it's back from service (I just received it today, so that may be a few months).

Nice catch! I've been looking for one of these, but have only seen Buy It Now auctions with ridiculous prices - can't fathom how yours slipped through my net ;)

It actually was one of the ridiculously priced BIN auctions, but it had an auto-accept at a much lower price. I don't like being the low-baller, but my offer was a fair price. It auto-accepted, I paid, and it shipped the next day!

Not really a correction. Omega made a version of this watch designed for a leather watchband as the 168.0145. In fact, that's the only number on inside of the caseback on my watch. The backs on the bracelet versions are identical and Omega wasn't too careful on which back when with which watch at this time. Later versions have both numbers on the caseback:

I am going to purchase the same watch exactly.

I would ask if the dial with tritzio dot indices and hands, has the script "SWISS MADE" only and not "T SWISS MADE T" under six index.

    Thank you
