Put even more graffiti on it! Hire a graffiti artist.

You may not think so from just a photo, but this building on the Bowery at the corner of Spring Street was one of the more interesting and attractive buildings in a neighborhood increasingly dominated by anonymous glass towers. Unfortunately it was sold last year and cleaned up, though mercifully not (yet) knocked down.

The problem is that people don't talk so much about graffiti any more; they call it "street art." I think Banksy is mostly to blame.

I think the faster you get it covered up the less likely it is to return, people want their "art" to be seen.

I used to walk past that building most days - you're right, it was usually pretty interesting!
