This is a beautiful Alpina Geneve Startimer AL-725, complete with the inner and outer box, paperwork and tag. A lot of people are not very familiar with Alpina but they have a long history of making quality watches, since 1883.
Overall condition is 98% This is a rarer model for Alpina with the inner rotating bezel and the sub dials at 12 & 6. It is powered by a beautifully finished Valjoux 7750-based "in-house" movement, which Alpina dubs the AL-725. The case is 42mm not including the crown and the lug width is 22mm. The original handmade Alpina leather strap does show some signs of wear but is in very good condition. It is also rated to 100m or 10bar water resistance and has a screw down crown. Sapphire crystal front and back with zero scratches. Super-luminova on the hands and numerals is very bright and legible as you would expect. The chronograph functions perfectly and resets back to zero, and the pushers feel crisp and precise.
Would consider trading down to something around the $500 mark.(preferably vintage!) Meaning you add $1k on top of your $500 watch. You get a good deal and were both happy 😀
