Hi everyone -

I'm selling my Wittnauer 242T with its rare 'beads of rice' bracelet. The watch is in almost perfect shape, fully original, all that. I bought this off a forum member here, @mappleluna, a few months ago and had ALWAYS wanted one in my collection. What I didn't anticipate was, shortly thereafter, stumbling upon a absolute grail piece (an original owner, unpolished, explorer with a lollipop seconds hand and stunning gilt dial for those who are wondering) so I'm selling to fund that. My loss is your gain as they say. Or maybe we both win? Probably more accurate in this case, ha.

The thing to note about the 242Ts is that the print on the dial has a habit of degrading. This is only the second example I've ever seen with crisp lume plots and fully intact print. The lume on the hands here could benefit from a color match -- and FWIW every other 242T I've ever seen has been relumed to match -- but I like that this one is original and gives you the option to do whatever you want.

I'm located in the USA but travel frequently to Europe. If you're overseas and want this piece I will next be in Europe in mid October, and could always ship from there. Shipment is generally done via Parcel Pro with FedEx.

As a courtesy to the forum, I'm not looking to make any money off this -- lord knows, I see so many of these listed with dealers for like $9k -- but would like to recoup what I paid. So, price is $6500 plus Paypal fees (if through Paypal, a wire would also work), shipping included.

And, beads of rice bracelet plus movement shot from the last owner:
