cheers for the kind comments about that funky Tissot of mine. The Omega Cal. 1040 your gorgeous watch is equipped with is originally based on Lemania's Cal. 1340, but takes it one step further. Chuck Maddox's (RIP) comments linked above don't disagree. Nor does our very own's
@Andy K 's website, which is the current reference on all things 1040/1041. Where they differ is, your watch (like all 176/001-7, Speedy MkIII's, Speedy MkIV's, and a few others were there others btw? all equipped w/ the 1040 - then the S125 on the 1041) has a 24hr disc whereas most 1340-equipped watches (such as my Navigator above, actually come to think of it I'm not sure whether it's a 1340 or 1341 in there, doesn't matter as there are just very very tiny differences between both... but this is drifting off-topic
) do not. This is a visual tell-tale from the dial side, there are more once you crack the caseback open I believe.

again, GLWS, very nice watch, I have a soft spot for all these asymetric designs based on this movement family. Not trying to be pedantic here, just to help with your sale (and its title)
