Hey OF! Since no one seems to want my '67 Rolex 5513, let's move on to this honest, great daily wear, mostly all original Speedmaster 145.012-67 just in time for First Man to come out!

Provenance: I bought this watch about 2.5 years ago from an OF member (he is very infrequently on here), who is also a watchmaker in CA. He serviced the watch shortly before I bought it from him and it is keeping excellent time. As such, it has not needed service during my ownership.

I was told that I am the 4th owner of this watch. The original owner sold it to a good friend of the member I bought it from about 15 yrs ago. He obviously bought it from his friend and owned it for about 3-5 years. Buyer will be the 5th owner.

Dial: AML, wide spaced "Swiss Made Ts" with long indices and stepped dial in very good condition. Tritium indices are all original. The 2 o'clock plot has some discoloration and there are some tiny bits of lume loss on a couple of other plots after the step (see pics). I decided not to have these repaired, allowing the new owner to decide what they want to do.

Hands: The hour and minute hands are, to the best of my knowledge, original to the watch. The watch came to me with a square tail, so I replaced the sweep hand with a period correct, tritium teardrop that I sourced (however, I don't remember where I sourced it from).

Case: Asymmetric case, which may (and I stress may as it is not clear to me that it was) have been lightly polished in the past. Case shows some wear and light scratches as one would expect. Hippocampus visible and in good condition on the caseback, which is stamped 145.012-67 as it should be.

Bezel: Ghosting DON bezel in overall very nice condition (it looks much better in the metal than in pics like most Speedy bezels). There are some chips and scratches as can be seen in the photos, but this DON has a really really nice fade going on with it!

Crown and Pushers: A later OEM service replacement wide-foot Omega crown. I believe pushers are original.

Movement: Omega Cal 321, serial 25,007,XXX, serviced within the last 4 years as stated above. Movement is keeping excellent time with all subdials resetting to 0. Winds and sets very smoothly.

Crystal: Original crystal with narrow Omega logo.

Asking price: I'm asking $8,000 net to me OBRO for the head (I'll throw in a NATO -- Buyer will have choice of Striped Fabric or Black Leather). Payment by wire to my attorney trust account or via Paypal (buyer pays any fees if not F&F). I will also accept Venmo if it allows a payment this high (only used it a couple of times so not that familiar with limits, if any). I'll pick up shipping in CONUS, Int'l Shipping will be via FedEx with ParcelPro at Buyer's expense (add $100). I'm always happy to do a f2f hand off in NYC and talk watches over a drink or coffee too!

No returns except for a material misrepresentation, for which Buyer will have a 3 day review period. Refs available on request, but I've been around here for a few years now!

As always, thanks for the space OF! Onto the pix!!! (Anything that looks like a scratch on the dial is a reflection from the original crystal... the dial is in excellent overall condition!)

Got some feedback from y'all re Speedy101 price chart. I'll say that I personally find the -67 variant to be the most under priced of all Speedies. Indeed, they are the only model that regularly sells for less than the parts are worth! However, I'm lowering the price to reflect the chart to $8K OBRO. Here are a couple more pics on the Striped NATO that will come with it and which show the ghosting/fading on the DON much better. Have had some interesting trade offers too, but I need to sell this one. Thanks again for the space OF!

(marks in this shot are on the crystal, not the dial!)
