Just back from Patek service in Switzerland which cost $3000 and took several months (documentation included). Hodinkee recently sold this same model for $12,500 USD which was not even serviced. This watch is basically LNIB since service. It's a nice watch. Curiously the outside dots (minute markers) don't appear the same as the ones in the Hodinkee specimen. GLWS.
Reduction to $11,700 and a couple more pics . The lugs on this piece are a real treat and add significant wrist presence. EDIT TO ANSWER SOME QUESTIONS (I did not want to bump again): This watch is approaching 65 years old from the 1950's. To my knowledge and the knowledge of the previous owner (who I just spoke with on the phone again) this dial is original to this watch. The previous owner is fairly knowledgeable and explained that the dots on the dial are done by hand so not all of them look the same. He also told me that there is an above average chance that the dial was retouched BY PATEK in its 70 year history as after 30 years they tend to flake - but it was definitely not touched by anyone besides Patek. He also assures me that Patek is probably the most particular company in the world when they service a watch. If they had any issue with the dial he is confident they would have wanted to replace it or make changes at the most recent service (last month). To me this dial looks amazing in person. Perhaps it looks a little too good for a 65 year old watch so I would guess that Patek probably did touch it up at a service at some point in the last 65 years. TLDR: I am confident the dial is original but there is a chance Patek retouched the dial at some point in its 65 year history. Also confident that IF the dial was retouched it was not worked on by anyone other than Patek.
Last reduction to $11,000. A steal of a deal ! Under full 2 year Patek international warranty. Doesn't get any better
$10,000 US plus actual shipping cost. Final reduction before withdrawal. I would like funds paid in CAD please $12,700cad.
I am open to a reasonable offer guys but the price is fair at this point. The dial was indeed refinished by Patek at one time in its life.
MOTIVATED TO SELL FOR X-MAS. NOW 9500 OBRO. I have several recently completed deals and positive feedbacks.
