So i cross-checked with the OMEGA Speedmaster Prof. Bible i.e. the Moonwatch Only book and turns out the hands were of the correct age. Only later did i figure out you were asking after reading the service invoice for the watch . Yup, the Originals are available with me.
Correct. It is however missing the limited edition certificate in Italian and the box never had that text one either. None the less a nice watch.
It may be that Omega , in their infinite wisdom refinished the case sides then re-added the edition numbers ?
[/QUOTE] Dear Faz and barking mad, that's something I've noticed too. So i turned to what maybe the final authority of Reference on Speedies i.e. the Moonwatch Only book. Turns out Faz is probably right. The font is consistent with the 25th Anniversary of Apollo XI - Italy (see attached pictures, pg number 371). The font is EXACTLY the same!
