Hi all, I recently came into possession of an Omega pocket watch. It’s a really nice piece that caught my eye right at the start. Unfortunately it just is a nice watch now collecting dust that I don’t feel a strong connection and have decided it would be best for this amazing look piece to go to someone who will appreciate it more. Maker: Omega Production: Case and movement production dates typically do not match and could be years apart. Likewise this watch’s production ranges likely between 1916-1919. Movement: 19 Ligne (15 Jewels) Bi-metallic, temperature compensating balance wheel, blued steel Breguet (overcoil) hairspring. I was informed while this is not a luxury grade version of this movement, it is still above average. Cons: Watch sporadically allows winding or wont wind and/or set time, Likewise needs someone to further evaluate. Missing a plate screw. Dial: 12-hour enamel with Breguet-style numerals Great condition for its age. Believe to be original! Hands: Amazing blued steel squared style hands I have not seen another set like these Case: Coin Silver (.900) This watch most likely was sold in Germany due to the presence of the “Halbmond und Reichskrone” symbol (Crown in the crescent). This symbol is a German hallmark requirement for silver items sold in that country. Overall the watch appears to be in very good condition beyond moment concerns stated previously. Price: $750, OBO US shipping included. Please message me to discuss non US shipping options. References: OF references available as buyer, this is my first sale on OF. please see photos or ask questions as needed. Watch and I are in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
For anyone who might be interested, the Omega silver swing out cases are less common and don't come up for sale too often. GLWTS @Dr.K
End of the business week bump. Otherwise I’ll have to contact my watch maker to preform maintenance and keep for myself! Dr. K
If you sell the watch, the money will likely be gone in a week or less. Then all you’ll have is nothing but the memory.
