Yes - sorry cfw, not meaning to pile on as you may well not have noticed - there's four tiny dots in the corner which show where the surround should be pinned. I bought a c-shape which also had lost it's date surround - I guess this is not uncommon. Added a pic of mine for comparison. . To this day, I'm not sure if I prefer the one with or the one without. One with for comparison:
