Hello fellow WIS, For sale is my Nomos Tangomat Datum, full set with box and papers. It's simply a beautiful watch. It's the 38mm version powered by the in-house automatic movement with date, and is the only Nomos (I believe) with 20mm lugs. The watch was originally purchased from WEMPE in Berlin. It was purchased in mid-April, 2013, making it two years old. It has 11.5 months of warranty left on it. In anticipation of the sale, I sent it to WEMPE in NYC to check it to see if it needed regulation or service (just so the new owner didn't have this inconvenience). The service manager at WEMPE in NYC informed me that it was well within all Nomos specs and I got it back yesterday. It's in great condition. The watch itself is mint---as I don't see any blemishes. The strap has been worn before---so it can't be considered mint, but it's in good condition. New, this runs 3800 USD and some change. I'm asking $2200 shipped. If you have any questions, please PM me or shoot me an email at markschnake1ATgmailDOTcom. [ ATTACH=full]124787[/ATTACH]
An in-house modern automatic in a classic Bauhaus style watch which could go with jeans & tshirt or business casual...... how is this still unsold after 3 hours?????
Thanks Dennis! It does transition between styles really well. The thing that sticks out is how well it transitions with straps. You can throw it on a tool horween strap (like a Rover Haven) and it goes with sneakers and jeans and sometimes I threw it on an alligator strap and wore it to client presentations. The only "strap watch" peer I've ever owned is a speedy.
Looks great in photos but Nomos are even more stunning in real life. Really looks like something that costs three times as much.
