It kills me to part with this, but as my parts post of a little while ago said, I got a large tax bill to pay! Monday's offering is this killer Rolex 5513 Submariner with Meters First Dial, 1520 movement and Long 5 insert w/tritium pearl. This watch is being offered as found and the 1520 movement has not been serviced in the year or so I have owned it. However, my watchmaker here in NYC has looked over the movement and did not believe it needed a service.

Caseback says it is from IV '67 and it has a matching 1.8mm serial, still visible between the lugs. Watch is available on 7206 Rivet with 80 end pieces or head only. I have really enjoyed wearing this watch and it is a very attractive timepiece, but I've decided to keep my tropical '64 Tudor 7928 over this 5513.

I'm asking $12,500 with the rivet, $10,000 head only, both prices firm. Payment is via PayPal (FF or add 4%) or bank wire (I'm an attorney and the funds sit in my trust account until you accept the item). I offer a 3-day review for return only if the item is not as advertised, no buyers remorse. Face to Face in NYC area is very welcomed.

I have a target line up in my sights, but this is making me lack focus.

    Killer watch!

I realized that I never posted pics of the inner clasp of the 7206 with production date of 4/68! Here are several. I am also adding some new wrist shots in the sunlight from my windowsill and some from the non-crown side. I will also now listen to all reasonable offers!

Thanks again for the space OF!

Bump and new wrist shot in combo of sunlight through the window and indoor overhead lighting.

Some people have asked about the lume... This dial has not, to the best of my and my watchmaker's knowledge, been relumed and the plots are not puffy looking in the metal. There is certainly a bit of aging and natural lume loss to the plots as one would expect for a 51 yr old watch that I think has been magnified somewhat in the closeup pix I have above in the original listing post. I hope this new pic clears that up for some!

    Thanks again OF!

Back from vacation bump and final price reduction before this goes to eBay or is withdrawn. $13,500 or $11,000 head only, both prices firm. I'll cover shipping worldwide via FedEx w/ParcelPro insurance.

Seriously OF? 4 months now and no one wants this 5513 at what I have been told by many is a very fair price? The market has even gone up for these since May, price is the same! $11K head only, $13.5K with 7206 Rivet

Nicer looking than this one IMHO! (Even with the difference in provenance...)

    A lot cheaper too!

Will also consider a trade for a similar period/condition 1675 GMT (I miss the one I had).

    Thx OF!

One-day only final $1K price drop before this heads to eBay over the weekend for real this time... I'd still prefer to keep this in the OF family though!
$10K head only, $12.5K with rivet
Price goes back up tomorrow evening when it will head to the 'Bay

Hey OF! I never sent this to the 'bay as I had quite a bit of interest at the flash sale price. However, a potential buyer inspected the watch in person here in NYC and noticed a stutter issue with the sweep of the second hand. As such, I took it to my WM to have him look over the movement and stopped actively selling it for about 3 weeks. It turned out to be a very simple repair of a spring that had come loose that was causing the second hand to stutter. It is now working perfectly and keeping excellent time to boot. I can send a video of the sweep to anyone who PMs me to confirm that, just send me an email address in your PM to forward the video to.

So that all said, I do have a standing offer from the person who noticed the issue with the second hand that is very close but not quite there. Given the interest at this price point, I'm leaving my flash sale price as my final/floor price for this piece. I am also giving a renewed/last bump over here in the hopes that someone on OF will take this beautiful piece with the magical words we all know so well... "I will pay your (current) asking price."

    TTT!

Boxing Day bump and last call OF!

I've had some strong interest over here, one now failed transaction on here, and many messages of disbelief this is still available and that my asking price is more than fair. So... what gives OF? Should I just move on to listing my Ed Whites for this crowd? ;-)

Hope y'all had a great holiday!

    Hey OF!

I have had multiple deals for this watch fall through over the last 3 months, so I'm bumping it up again due to the level of interest that OF has generated the last few times I have done so (contrary to my prior last calls bc each time I last call it I get a fresh round of interest for those that want to comment about that).

My price remains unchanged as I hit my floor awhile ago... It is $12.5K w/rivet, $10K head only FIRM. Serious inquiries only at this point please. F2F in NYC welcomed. I will post some additional pics that some others who were interested in this requested as an edit to this post later today when I have the time.

Thanks again for the space OF!
