From a watchmaker estate. I'm stumped. What are these??

Ok. I'm pretty good at figuring out what things are used for but these baffle me. Came in a box of watchmaker "stuff". Marked West Germany. They look like billows but what the heck would they be used to do? 😵‍💫 Any help is greatly appreciated.

CRAP! They are bellows from a cuckoo clock. West Germany. Makes sense. Dang! Nothing to see here. Move along. Move along.

I thought they were S'mores for clockmakers.

(Only coz the S'mores we had on the lake at Jasper looked just like that 😁)
