Vintage Longines 3-handers are far from my wheelhouse.

A friend in another state picked this up for a hunnert, and wrote me asking for any insight. I hoped some of you better informed might contribute some corrections.

Aftermarket bracelet he says doesn’t show any sign of rub-through or flaking of plating, and he’s cautiously uncertain if the bracelet could be gold.

The watch case he was unable to open and didn’t want to press the matter himself.

I told him the dial was almost certainly refinished, and the seconds register in particular being a bit sloppy

But past that, I’d have no guess as to the relative time period, or any other factoids of interest or pressing questions about the watch

If you might, it would be lovely to know out of interest.

Definitely a redial, as you suggest. American cased; likely mid/late '40s; I'd guess a cal. 10.68Z.

I'm skeptical that the bracelet is gold, but if it is, it should (to most) feel notably heavy.
