French case/hallmarks but with English day/month wheels?

    Looking for other's thoughts on this.

    I'm considering this JLC. French case design with French gold hallmarks on the caseback and case itself.

    All looking good until the obvious smacks me in the face. The day/month wheels are in English!

    And, the inner caseback doesn't have the normal engravings that a Swiss/English watch would. I'm guessing because it has the eagle head hallmark (outer caseback). But, is this normal?

    I'm thinking of passing but seeing what other's experiences are with this.

    Well... it might be because Jeager was a French company and they teamed up and sold watches in England in the 30’s...

    would you date this to pre WW2?

    Supposedly in the 50s, per the movement serial.

    I realize I can order an extract from JLC, which will probably suggest clearly whether it should be English or French. But it's not my watch, yet....
