I think this is 'Casual Chic' chaps

 

I am on ASOS as we speak... finger hovering over the BIN button. The hat costs extra, but hey, c'est chic.

 

I'm well aware what "casual chique" means but across the globe many people find this funny. What does this mean in your country? In Europe it's for example a proper jacket on jeans with good looking shoes.

 

That is a look UK-based fashion-forward people might refer to as 'smart casual'.
In the UK (imo) 'chic' is a word that's most always applied to womenswear. (Hence the slight amusement at the term 'casual chic'.)
The gentleman in your photo here is clearly 'Continental' as he has forgotten to put his socks on.
This is unlikely to happen in the UK where we wear socks with our sandals, naturally.
I will attend the event dressed similarly to your photo here, but with my socks on.

 

However, as the event is in Switzerland and it's obviously very cold there all the time, a slightly heavier fabric may be in order. Like this:

 

How do you know he forgot to put his socks on? Might as well be socks that are the same height as his shoes. Anyway, socks in sandals should be banned. Given that these are sandals.

 

He is also wearing a pink trouser. Clearly he is an hâbituëè of (or from) the Continent, where one is permitted to go about one's business in such attire, without socks, or, indeed, as you point out, wearing invisible bobby-socks.
