    hi all.

Found this on the bay. Description is pretty confusing.

    Vintage omega seamaster 300.

When I bought this watch, it had this case but an earlier dial variation in it - the early dial from a straight lug 165.014 or from a14755. I replaced that dial with this one, which matches this case and is a correct vintage SM300 dial. But - oddly - the movement serial is quite early and the receipt show an earlier straight lug reference - 14755. So I don't know how this movement (and related receipt/paperwork!) made it into this watch/case but I think it was done long ago and honestly. Maybe a service of a 14755 that replaced the whole case?? I don't know. But it is interesting. And it could be an interesting movement for someone that needs one in the relevant range for a straight lug case.

Bezel has some damage (between 40-50) as shown in the photos. The bezel is a correct vintage SM300 bezel.

Dial lume has somewhat flaked / fallen off but some of the original tritium remains. Case has marks from use but is in very nice condition.

Sounds to me, to be a Franken... What are your thoughts?
