    Hallo guys,

i was offered a weird Speedy from some local guy. nothing seems to match somehow, caseback, dial and so on. But what i was really surprised to see is the movement. It does have a stamp for caliber 861, but i thought that those were copper-plated (this one seems to be like Rhodium-plated). Also the Serial Number only has 7 digits. Does anyone know what this could be?

That's most likely what you get when you mate an omega 861 with a lemania 1873 (which are essentially identical)...

thats the rest of the watch (being sold as a 145.022-71 Speedy). The only part from a 71 Speedy is probably the caseback.

And perhaps the bezel too...but with this level of frankenness, one can no longer really say.

Tell him either he, or his watchmaker, or both of them are (to quote the infamous @nonuffinkbloke) 'a bunch of bollockchops'...:D...
