FPJ has a good program even for retired references. And you gave me a good idea for my second Journe.
Same here. I managed to get on the list at least, but not holding my breath that I will make it to the top in time... In any case, can members post more pictures!!! Such gorgeous watches.
Just saw the hodinkee episode showing Mr Wonderful infected with the Journe virus. He bought four Journes in one go at the Miami boutique - a CB, an LE centrigraphe, resonance and the magic quartz model. Am also tempted to get a centrigraphe. Not necessarily the LE.
A Centigraphe we had in a while back, interesting piece and certainly a busy dial, still a bit beyond me as to what it does or how it works, but great looking none the less.
I sold two. and i'm regretting everyday. been on the list at the boutique for years but never hear anything from them. 3 years ago you can find them sitting at pretty much any boutique you go to.
Nice. I think aside from usual chronograph functions, it has a foudroyante that can measure 1/100 of a second - on the 10 o clock sub register.
Was feeling the same way a year or two ago… but given where the prices have gone now, it seems almost impossible. Sucks to have “missed the boat”!!
Are the crazy auction and reseller dealer prices at 5x+ retail for real?? They are beautiful and the movements are mesmerizing but something seems off. Thoughts?
I wonder myself… and sure hope that this “bubble” will burst at some point when the deep-pocketed guys will move on to the next shiny thing. On the other hand, we have to acknowledge that this is truly a “supply and demand” example as FPJ manufactures less than 1,000 watches a year.
For years the reported number was 750 and anyone could walk in and buy one at retail or even a reasonable discount. They must have been rediscovered for some reason and the prices have gone crazy. Too many people with too much money.
For years… yes may be, but the increase in demand (and prices) started about 3 years ago (just like everything else). Especially, the fact that some pieces uniques and other early models (ie, brass movements, subscription models, etc.) have been doing so well at auction, have driven demand and prices to sky-high levels. They have pretty much sold out all their models for the next few years already.
Also helped that Govberg/Watchbox Studios started hyping the shit out of them the past couple of years once they bought up a large inventory.
