Though you all might appreciate seeing the Universal Geneve part of my watch collection.

My collection of vintage Universal wristwatches spans the 1940s to the 1970s and includes a pair of manual wind movements, a bumper automatic, a micro-rotor automatic and even a tuning fork movement. I don't have a particular theme here beyond "UG watches" and prefer to collect a breadth of ages, technologies and designs. I recently sourced 4 period correct UG straps (all the black ones) and 3 UG clasps to start to round out the look.

I had a lot of help, mostly from Jonatan, to source these pieces. Thanks so much to @Jonatan and all my collector friends who've helped me build and refine the set.

1943 Henrique Pfeffer co-signed "Universal Caracas" (manual wind)

1957 rose gold ref 10244 Polerouter (138SS bumper movement, not the micro-rotor you might expect. These early versions had the 138SS bumpber)

Very nice pieces. That 1943 « Henrique Pfeffer » is just amazing! I love the dial and hands but the lugs are even nicer.

Cheers thanks. The indeces below the numerals are mirrored, which is a fun effect. But totally agree - those lugs are the best part.

Beautiful collection, love them all. A black pola/e router would round out things nicely

I had an okay one - my first UG actually. But it was on that line between patina and damage that I ended up passing it on. I may well replace it with a cleaner version one day. :)

A well balanced collection! The unisonic is a favorite design of mine - but the Pfeffer is just disgustingly nice.

Thumbs up for the Unisonic - never seen it before, an exeptional dial design

    Congrats!

The first time I saw it, I knew I had to have it. A friend's that he parted with after a few years of my coveting it.

There are also red dial, white dial with blue accents and a gold case/ gold dial/ blue accents versions. I've been tempted to build out the whole set.

I understand - I'd miss it if I ever parted with it. Unique and pretty.

    Very nice little collection.

I especially partial to the H Pfeiffer.

The mirrored track/silver reminds me of a Dato Compax I sold a while back, usually, I think, you see the silver on a black dial but I have seen them in silver or gold on white Leonidas chronos...

The watch with the blue band I surmise is a redial.

There is no way that 60's logo got put on a watch with a sub seconds dial.

    JMHO.

Still really enjoyable to see the collection.
