    I dropped a few watches off at a newly recommended watchmaker the other day and after talking with him for over an hour, he brought out this watch.

    The serial number is in the 1 300 000 dating it to between 1945-1949 and the only watchmaker markings in the case also date to 1949. Crown has no markings but I don't think it should at that time period.

    Anyone ever seen one like this? Couldn't find anything on it.

    The unusual aging pattern suggests to me that the dial has been refinished. Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but I also think the seconds hand is replaced.

    Everything is possible. He thought everything was original but I'm not sure myself.

    I don't have the Sala book has anyone ever seen this model?

    Model number is 20203

    As @ELV web mentioned in another post
    2 = steel
    but what would the 0 make it since there was only 1 = time 2 = chronograph

    What makes you think that second hand is a replacement?

    I would also say redial. Very nice one.

    At least from the pictures it looks a different shade of gold from the other hands. Also, it is too long or too short, depending on where you think it should end... or is this just a trick of the photo angles?

    I don't think it's a redial. The printing is super consistent, chapter ring lines up perfectly with hour markers, and the ageing looks pretty consistent throughout, even the areas around the applied markers has less _grit_... like other watches i've seen with applied markers. IMO it's an honest watch, wabi objectified.

    It's not gold, it's either black or a shade of reddish brown but it lines up perfectly with the end of the second markers. I have no idea where it should end. The minute hand end at the end to the minute markers so I guess the second hand should line up with the end of the second markers??

    It could be original - but I say this because that thin stick style design is one which I have not ever seen with UG and it does not compliment the large leaf hour and minute hands, suggesting they weren't originally together.
