Sorry to post this here rather than in “WTB,” but does anyone have any idea where I might be able to find a pair of 19mm gold (not gold plated or gold “colored”) endlinks that would look something like this, with spaces for two “grains” in the middle like is found on vintage Daytonas, etc? No luck so far on eBay or most other usual sites. Trying to help a friend who’s got a great bracelet but no workable endlinks. Thanks in advance.

TBH, I’m not sure if the original end links were solid gold. These were high stress parts and one would think that high karat gold might be too soft to handle it over a long period of time. I know that most crowns on gold watches were gold capped or plated for the same reason.

If anyone out there has a gold Omega bracelet, can you please report back about your end links?

Thanks,

…pretty certain they were solid gold to match the Rolex 18k bracelets. I’ve seen a few for sale (wrong size) that clearly show them - and price them - as solid gold, not plated.

Duh, shame on me.:whipped:

I didn’t see this was on the Rolex board.

I think your friend will have a very hard time finding just the end links. Vintage Rolex parts in gold are difficult to come by.

Ha, no worries. And yes, hard to find… ergo, my post! 😉 I’ve also updated the title to clarify the hunt.

I think these will be like hens teeth to find. I would have thought a good jeweller could fashion an approximation, if authenticity is not of the upmost importance.

“No workable endlinks.”

Does he have the broken endlinks? If so, I think he should definitely look into having them repaired. Replacements will be hard to find.

He needs 19mm endlinks to go with a solid 18k yellow gold bracelet he recently acquired. Doesn’t want to pair plated endlinks with a solid gold bracelet (understandably). Hens teeth, for sure, but never hurts to try….
