Found a pre moon speedmaster, what do you think about it?

    I'd say this one has been drown. Significant polishing of every steel part of the movement to remove surface rust but a large amount of pitting remains. I'd lay odds that only the midcase, caseback and bezel began life with that movement.

    Hi Al,

    I was referring to some of the screw heads that look quite damaged? Who knows what else?

    Some screw heads are corroded certainly, but in terms of damage to slots from careless watchmakers, again this is pretty tame. I'd actually call those quite good based on what I typically see...

    I would just keep an eye on the sales section on the forum instead of buying in chrono...
