Went to the Omega boutique and tried one of these on:

I was surprised how much I liked it. Seeing pics on the web didn't light my fire about the design. Knowing the size was 38 mm to be large enough to house the caliber 8500, I was sure it would be too clumsy. While I didn't like the bracelet, I didn't mind the case size at all. If they would offer a strap option, it might be my next modern watch purchase (due in March 2018). There's also a 35 mm model with the caliber 2500 inside - I think it's the D variant that uses the correct 3 level co-axial escapement.

Both are pretty damn sweet!

Omega should thank gator for taking me there.

BTW, Windy fell for a Ladymatic with a black dial and black strap.

Don't you think it might look a little weird on a strap Dennis? I'm not a fan of the design visually, having never seen it in the flesh, but the integration of the bracelet is probably one of the things that is designed well to my eyes. Oh, and of course the waffle dial 😀

No, there were other models, mostly lady's, that had the strap and they looked fantastic.

No argument that the bracelet works perfectly with the case shape, but the size of the links made it a little uncomfortable / stiff for my wrist.

BTW, we did see the vintage inspiration for this in AJTT but I forget what page it was on. When I'm home I'll look it up.

Absolutely love the everything about the dial but this style of Constellation has always been one of my least favorite. What a great combination of texture dial, hands, and hour markings. I would love to see this dial in a more classic watch case. Thanks for posting 😀

The "star" on the dial just happens to be my second favorite watch brand, Zenith (vintage only). What a gorgeous face!

ulackfocus Yup it is the cal 2500d. And yes, most ladies will fall in love with the black on black Ladymatic especially if its the diamond snow-set bezel😉
