·I have just fitted a FFL on a 2998.5
It turns out it fits the profile of the case lugs very well, far better than my original SM 300.
Fostner say this doesn't work they are right but with a little careful filing it does.
The 2998 cases have varying lug widths mine were both smaller than 19mm and not the same ! So the 19mm end links will not fit. A digital caliper helps here.
To file the end links down I taped some fine aluminium oxide paper on my sharp bench edge, you must avoid filing the location tabs.
Take you time and this can be done with excellent results.
