·Edit 2:
New bracelet came today, it feels just how it’s supposed to. Forstner was very helpful along the way, they also threw in some extra goodies, for which i can’t thank them enough! I’m really pleased with the whole process, the support is absolutely superb! If you are in similar situation, send an email to Forstner, they will take care of you in the best possible way.
Edit:
Well, I’m still a bit shocked to say the least. I am yet to find another company with such high standards. Thankfully i was lead to believe that the bracelet i received, simply slipped under qc’s radar and it isn’t something that happens regularly. New bracelet is already on its way and to Forstner, my apologies for being a difficult client and thank you once again, chapeau bas!
Hello everybody,
I'd like to share with you my experience with @Forstnerbands flat link bracelet i got over christmas. Overall I've tried my best to love this bracelet, it looks stunning, wears quite comfortably with planty of adjustment and help of stretchy links. I'm not the biggest fan of the end links (their profile is odd at best, although they look ok) and the 18mm bracelet looks quite bad on a watch with 20mm lug width. However its biggest offense is its build quality, frankly It's unforgivable. First thing i noticed were the massive gaps between polished and brushed parts of the links, other than bad qc (or rather lack there off) i suspect that it may be the way Forstner tried to achieve the vintage rattle, if thats the case, than it is an odd choice but i guess i could let it slide. The thing that pissed me off the most, was when i noticed that links are asymmetric. It's hard to catch it on camera, i tried my best to show it with calipers. However in person you can clearly see that the left polished part is clearly narrower than the right one. I don't know how it came to be, but frankly I am utterly disappointed. Things like this, shouldn't have place at this price point. I was thinking of getting the newly released milled clasp for this bracelet, but after noticing all the defects i'm not sure wether i'm going to get anything else from Forstner bands. Im sad, especially after reading all the positive reviews and having high hopes for this bracelet.
Sincerely
