Why are the Seamaster fonts different on these 2 watches? The first is the one that was said to be ok yesterday, yet the same seller has this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/OMEGA-Sea...es_Watches_MensWatches_GL&hash=item4d0412a731Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network with the same font as many I have seen on the forum including ulackfocus who I'm sure will clear this up for me.

 

The dial of the Seamaster in that auction was refinished, the redialer used the older font for newer model,



This font would be correct for a Seamaster powered by a 565 in 24 mil range

 

So would you all say I'd be sensible (whatever that is, to put a bid of £400 for the original?) or do I hold out for a watch with a date? Am I panicking? Patience has never benn my strong point; although I did take 40 years to find my partner.
