I have decided to put my mid 60’s Seamaster up for sale.
The cal 552 movement looks to me to be in good condition, it has not been serviced since it has been in my possession but it keeps pretty good time and the serial number on the movement dates it to around 1964.
The case looks sharp, it has probably been gently polished in the past but it has retained its’ edges, there is a little mark on the bottom left lug as can be seen on the photo’s.
I am quite sure the dial is original, and it has great balance with the raised logo and no date. There is some spotting on the dial, which is more visible in some lights than others, and I have tried to capture it looking at its’ worst.
The hands are original to the watch I believe, though there is some tarnishing to the second hand.
From what I can see the only thing that is not original is the crystal which looks newer and does not have the Omega logo in the centre.
