I am not sure what to make of this kind of "restoration" without being too rude to a seller who sent it off to Omega thinking only the best will come of it. I would have preferred to have had it sympathetically restored by even sending it to the UKs STS. That Bezel, seen in the parts photo, looks good to me. I understand that Omega would see it as doing the best to give their client a new look watch - but ouch... By the look of the parts picture it looked in pretty rough shape. but I would have left the case back and bezel and definitely have left out any polishing, especially of the lugs. I can see that the old case back is still available. I would have liked to have at least a pic of the inside of that.

    Just to have a go:
    1. Chrono hand looks to be incorrect should be counterweight not square
    2. Bezel should have no gap between the 300 and 275
Bezel should have the diagonal dot at 70
    Bezel should be DON
    Conclusion: incorrect bezel for 145.012

    Wrong? Right? What else?

    What else:

All the parts you've mentioned are included in the sale, Omega lets you keep your old parts unlike Rolex

    Here's his last pic

This is actually a very good buy, you could get your local watchmaker to swap the old hands, caseback, bezel and crown back on then sell all the other modern parts off to get some of your money back. Also because its been fully serviced by Omega the movement will be in A1 shape as they've got all the parts right there.

Do the Omega Service changes make the watch look like 145.012 - 67? I don't think it does, and if I am not completely wrong with my noob assessment, this is far from an aesthetically pleasing 145.012-67 to me at least. I would prefer that the original bezel and the original case back had stayed in situ - I can't tell why the crown was replaced but one of the pushers looks bent - that could be the photo. I can't tell if the dial has been changed. As you say, dsio, the parts are included and could be swapped back at a small cost if a new owner had the mind to do that. But having a close look at that bezel, it looks some kid had try to pry it off with a screwdriver around 80. :)

Yep, that's what I would do. I hope someone who is sympathetic to the history of this watch buys it. If I hadn't just been on a bit of a watch buying binge I might very well have been contender for this one. I think that dial is right. I would like to be able to see the m and the applied logo clearly.

He's asking USD3300 shipped on TZ but has a bid on FleaBay for USD3500 plus USD250. Either the bidder hasn't done their homework or... Hmmmm? Strange Yes?

That's not a terrible deal. The deployant, strap, bracelet and other new parts could be flipped as Dsio says, leaving you with a wearable, serviced, pretty cheap 321.

The bezel isn't mentioned in the list of original parts to be included.
