I also have some old G&S decks, Bennet trucks and Road rider wheels in my basement un used. I think there might even be a Logan earth Ski somewhere in the house.
Yoooooo! @Mad Dog can have dibs but....what else ya got?! I'm a G&S fanboi! Been riding the same Fibreflex for 20 years now!
Man now I have to go through my whole basement, ain’t going to be easy, there’s nearly 80 years of my parents, my grand parent , and my stuff down there. It actually a scary place View attachment 1570711
Good choice to use the exercise ball as a stool when working with the bandsaw. Too many people are hung up on being steady/ stable when using powered saws. They totally lack the spirit of adventure! Besides, we are born with so many fingers for a reason -- so we have spares for later in life. Anything more than 2 fingers per hand is just wasteful.
Well, if you’re looking to get rid of some skate gear, let us know! I’d definitely be interested in some of the decks!
This is so awesome and so true!! Many of my older Maine patients, both men and women, are missing fingers from their work in the woods or in the mills. A finger gets lopped off, no big deal, carry on!!!
My grandfather was a pattern maker/machinist back in the day. Prior to all the current safety regulations and improvements for safety on lathes etc. all of his friends, well most were in the same line of work and he would have get together when I was a kid his pattern maker friends, along with my grandfather all lacked at least one finger usually at the second knuckle. It used to bug me out as a kid as they would do the missing finger magic trick but leave out the part where it reappears. It didn’t slow any of them down nor did they change careers. My grandfather was still working machinery at 80 years old never once heard him complain about his two missing fingers.
