Hi,

Probably a stupid question but is there a "best way" to wind the watch? I.e. should this be done regularly throughout the day to top up to max reserve or should it be done as infrequently as possible? Does either technique have any positive or negative effects?

(I'm referring to a modern 2017 FOIS)

Don't be a slave to an inanimate object. Wind the watch in the morning as part of your routine, strap it on and then forget about it.

 

As said above

Don't worry about it. These things are robust. Wind it until you can't wind it anymore. Usually 40 turns from stopped, 20 turns each 24 hours.
