If you were going to have one Speedmaster in your collection, would you rather have the Sedna gold First Omega in Space or the Apollo 11 50th steel and gold?

FOIS Sedna for sure.

I know it isn't too popular but personally for me I could see myself being happier with the FOIS rather than the Apollo 11th 50th, which I dislike due to the subdial. I'd rather have a clean subdial design since it helps with legibility.

A11 for me as I had been waiting for it for so long, legibility of buzz subdial to me doesn't matter as it's the seconds counter.

A brand new rose gold FOIS is actually £2k cheaper when looking on the grey market than the 11

Interesting question .... the 18k Sedna is a beautiful piece but I'm not sure it captures the essence of the Speedmaster line. I could wear it everyday but some people don't like the all gold/all the time aspect of the FOIS Sedna. On the open market they are similarly priced, so, take your pick. If you don't mind wearing an 18k gold watch with jeans or shorts the Sedna might be the choice for you. On the other hand the Apollo 11 is probably the wave of the future.....Naiid caseback, more accurate movement, much nicer bracelet. Your choice.

That is a hard choice. I think the 11 may just be more versatile so I’d probably go with that. The straight lugged speedies wear a bit taller (for me anyway) if that’s a consideration.
